The Hargraves family are generally considered to be a rather weak and feeble lot. When they have a new baby, the think the worst but it isn't long before they discover that their baby has a love of avocados which seem to bless it with unrivaled strength. Another book that both adults and children will get something from, Burningham's book . It celebrates healthy eating and the idea of trying something new but with Burningham's simple and clear illustrations, it also offers a peak into family life when a new member joins the flock. It is full of humour throughout - my favourite being the baby chasing off the burglar!
