Carmela Full of Wishes tells the story of a Latina girl living in America. It is her birthday and she is old enough to help her brother on his daily tasks around their town. Carmela has an argumentative relationship with her big brother. she received some new bracelets for her birthday and wears them around the town whilst with him. During her daily tasks, she picks a dandelion from the pavement outside the laundromat and carries it with her everywhere until she falls off her scooter and her dandelion is broken. To cheer her up, her brother takes her to a farmyard full of dandelions, she opens her eyes and sees all the potential wishes flying around her and makes her wish. (Words by Louise)
